Cornerstone Church of Christ
What We Believe
“We exist to glorify God in all things for the joy of all peoples through the grace of Jesus Christ.”
Missional Commitments
We are devoted to the work of
Making Disciples
We proclaim the gospel, baptize believers, and instruct them to walk in obedience to Christ.
Worshiping God
We praise and worship together, meditate on His word, and offer our lives to His service.
Proclaiming the Word
We teach the full counsel of God's Scriptures, boldly and without compromise.
Building Up the Body
We exercise our spiritual gifts and train singles, families, and children to live faithfully.
Serving the Broken
We give generously of our time and money to help the needy in our community and beyond.
Planting Churches
We pray, plan, and send out believers to establish new congregations.
Praying and Fasting
We pray and fast, corporately and individually, for our members, community, and world.
Cornerstone will be governed by a council of elders, appointed according to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. A minister leads the preaching and teaching ministry, and deacons are appointed to serve the practical needs of the church.
Statement of Faith
What we hold to be true
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — the Creator of all things, worthy of all glory.
Mankind
God created mankind in His image to steward His creation. Sin brought corruption, suffering, and death into the world.
The Gospel
Jesus came in the flesh, died for our sins, and was raised to life. Whoever believes, repents, and is baptized receives the Holy Spirit and eternal life.
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, charged with advancing His Kingdom. Believers are members of one body, built up to do His work.
The Bible
We believe Scripture is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy word of God, essential for making disciples of Jesus Christ.
